Actualmente, la EUC opera siete facultades: Administraci\u00f3n de Empresas, Humanidades, Ciencias Sociales y de la Educaci\u00f3n, Derecho, Medicina, Odontolog\u00eda, Veterinaria y Ciencias. Su misi\u00f3n es formar a estudiantes para una carrera profesional exitosa y el \u00e9xito en la vida, comprender y atender las necesidades de la sociedad, y generar conocimiento mediante la investigaci\u00f3n y la innovaci\u00f3n. La EUC prioriza la vinculaci\u00f3n de la docencia con la investigaci\u00f3n y la realizaci\u00f3n de actividades de divulgaci\u00f3n, con el objetivo de fomentar el inter\u00e9s de los j\u00f3venes y del p\u00fablico en general por las actividades cient\u00edficas. La actividad investigadora de la universidad, medida por su \u00e9xito en la obtenci\u00f3n de financiaci\u00f3n externa y la publicaci\u00f3n de publicaciones de calidad, ha aumentado significativamente en la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada. Los cient\u00edficos afiliados a la EUC han sido reconocidos en el 2% de los investigadores m\u00e1s citados de la Universidad de Stanford, lo que destaca la contribuci\u00f3n de la instituci\u00f3n al discurso cient\u00edfico global.    <\/p>\n<p>La EUC cuenta con una amplia cartera de proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n e innovaci\u00f3n, financiados por la Comisi\u00f3n Europea (p. ej., Horizonte Europa, Horizonte 2020, Erasmus+, Direcciones Generales), la Fundaci\u00f3n de Investigaci\u00f3n e Innovaci\u00f3n de Chipre, el Instituto Max Planck, la Agencia Espacial Europea y otros organismos gubernamentales y organizaciones privadas. La actividad investigadora se lleva a cabo principalmente en varios centros de investigaci\u00f3n, laboratorios y otras unidades especializadas, como cl\u00ednicas y centros de innovaci\u00f3n. Cabe destacar que en 2017 la Universidad recibi\u00f3 el logotipo de \u00abExcelencia en Recursos Humanos en Investigaci\u00f3n\u00bb de la Comisi\u00f3n Europea, que identifica a las instituciones y organizaciones que proporcionan y apoyan un entorno de trabajo estimulante y favorable para los investigadores. El impacto de la EUC en la comunidad local es profundo, con una participaci\u00f3n clave en la comunidad cient\u00edfica regional y la sociedad en general. Los miembros de la EUC desempe\u00f1an un papel crucial como Representantes Nacionales en los Comit\u00e9s de Gesti\u00f3n de Horizonte Europa, dando forma al futuro de la investigaci\u00f3n europea. Adem\u00e1s, sus nombramientos en puestos gubernamentales, como la Fundaci\u00f3n de Investigaci\u00f3n e Innovaci\u00f3n, el Comit\u00e9 de Bio\u00e9tica de Chipre y el Comit\u00e9 Cient\u00edfico de la Organizaci\u00f3n Nacional de Salud P\u00fablica de Grecia, subrayan el compromiso de la EUC con el bienestar social.     <\/p>\n<p>En 2020, la EUC fund\u00f3 el Centro de<u> <a href=\"https:\/\/soscieath.euc.ac.cy\/\">Excelencia en Investigaci\u00f3n e Innovaci\u00f3n en Ciencias Sociales, Artes y Humanidades (SOSCIEATH)<\/a><\/u>, un centro de investigaci\u00f3n interdisciplinario. Promueve la colaboraci\u00f3n activa entre investigadores, te\u00f3ricos, acad\u00e9micos, profesionales y el p\u00fablico en general para alcanzar la excelencia cient\u00edfica interdisciplinaria y promover el cambio social. Con un enfoque de Investigaci\u00f3n Responsable, Sostenibilidad e Innovaci\u00f3n, SOSCIEATH busca facilitar la participaci\u00f3n ciudadana en la ampliaci\u00f3n del desarrollo de la base de conocimiento actual, a trav\u00e9s de su compromiso con las Ciencias Sociales, las Artes y las Humanidades. El Centro cuenta con una financiaci\u00f3n para investigaci\u00f3n actual\/en curso de m\u00e1s de 1.000.000 de euros a trav\u00e9s de m\u00e1s de 17 proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n en marcha. Sus intereses de investigaci\u00f3n incluyen el apoyo al desarrollo profesional docente, con especial atenci\u00f3n a la ense\u00f1anza y el aprendizaje de ciencias basados \u200b\u200ben la indagaci\u00f3n, la educaci\u00f3n en biolog\u00eda, el aprendizaje basado en modelos en ciencias y la educaci\u00f3n en ciencias en preescolar. En 2024, Advance Higher Education le otorg\u00f3 el t\u00edtulo de Senior Fellow (SFHEA) en reconocimiento a sus logros en el Marco de Est\u00e1ndares Profesionales del Reino Unido para el apoyo a la ense\u00f1anza y el aprendizaje en la educaci\u00f3n superior. De 2020 a 2024, fue editor asociado de la revista Journal of Science Teacher Education y ha participado activamente en numerosas comunidades profesionales internacionales y locales.
