De afdeling Onderwijskunde van de Universiteit van Cyprus is een grote afdeling met 22 faculteitsleden en 350 medewerkers. De afdeling biedt twee bacheloropleidingen (basisonderwijs en kleuteronderwijs), een postdoctorale opleiding voor leraren in het voortgezet onderwijs (voor alle vakken die in het voortgezet onderwijs worden gegeven) en zeven master- en doctoraatsopleidingen (waaronder natuurwetenschappen, wiskunde en techniek). De Universiteit van Cyprus is de grootste lerarenopleiding van het land en de enige die verantwoordelijk is voor de opleiding van leraren in het voortgezet onderwijs vlak voordat ze aan de slag gaan op scholen. Het personeel van UCY leidt jaarlijks ongeveer 100 aankomende leraren op, evenals ongeveer 100 leraren die al in dienst zijn, en geeft momenteel leiding aan de hervorming van het curriculum van het land. Op het gebied van wetenschapsonderwijs, en met name in onze onderzoeksgroep ReSciTEG (Research in Science and Technology Education Group), zijn we actief in onderzoek naar onderzoekend leren, ICT, computerondersteund samenwerkend leren, Living Labs (open innovatie-ecosystemen), fysieke en virtuele laboratoriumexperimenten, modellering, curriculumontwikkeling en -beoordeling voor wetenschappen (inclusief STEM), RRI, conceptueel begrip, lerarenopleiding en professionele ontwikkeling, Open Schooling, onderwijsevaluatie en informeel wetenschapsonderwijs.     <\/p>\n<p>De leden van ReSciTEG hebben veel ervaring met onderzoekend leren in formele en informele wetenschappelijke onderwijsomgevingen, levenslang leren, het ontwerpen van technologiegestuurde leerplannen voor wetenschappelijk en STEM\/STEAM-onderwijs, en het opleiden van zowel beginnende als ervaren leraren in het gebruik van onderzoekgerichte omgevingen voor wetenschappelijk onderwijs en leerdoeleinden. Daarnaast hebben de leden van ReSciTEG veel ervaring met het evalueren van vaardigheden op cognitief en affectief gebied. Als gevolg daarvan is de groep actief betrokken geweest bij evaluaties\/beoordelingen op zowel internationaal als nationaal niveau. Zo neemt de groep bijvoorbeeld deel aan het team dat verantwoordelijk is voor de PISA-beoordeling in Cyprus. Bovendien is ReSciTEG betrokken geweest bij een reeks lerarenopleidingsprogramma&#8217;s over verschillende onderwerpen (bijv. curriculumontwerp en -evaluatie, formatieve en summatieve beoordeling, peer assessment, formeel en informeel\/niet-formeel wetenschapsonderwijs, computerondersteund leren, onderzoekend leren, het gebruik van ICT en andere innovatieve toepassingen in STEM-onderwijs). Ten slotte neemt de groep een leidende rol op zich in de inspanningen van het Cypriotische ministerie van Onderwijs om zijn e-learningstrategie te implementeren door middel van een reeks projecten, waaronder het ontwerpen en gebruiken van multimediaomgevingen voor het onderwijzen en leren van wetenschappen.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1767705416994{border-right-width: 5px !important;border-left-width: 5px !important;border-left-style: solid !important;border-right-style: solid !important;border-color: #2A3689 !important;}&#8221;][vc_column][vc_separator color=&#8221;mulled_wine&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1767705316149{border-right-width: 5px !important;border-left-width: 5px !important;border-left-style: solid !important;border-right-style: solid !important;border-color: #2A3689 !important;}&#8221;][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>Marios Papaevripidou<\/strong> is specialistisch docent wetenschapsonderwijs en senior onderzoeksmedewerker bij de Research in Science and Technology Education Group (ReSciTEG) van de faculteit Onderwijs van de Universiteit van Cyprus. Hij heeft een BA in onderwijs, een MA in natuurwetenschappen en een PhD in natuurwetenschappen, allemaal behaald aan de Universiteit van Cyprus. Zijn onderzoek richt zich op het gebruik van modellering als leermiddel en als onderwijsmethode in het wetenschapsonderwijs. Hij is ook gespecialiseerd in het ontwerpen en valideren van lesmateriaal dat gericht is op de professionele ontwikkeling van leraren op het gebied van STEAM. Ze heeft een B.Sc. in natuurkunde (Universiteit van Cyprus) en een M.Sc. en Ph.D. in \u2018Leren in de natuurwetenschappen\u2019 (Universiteit van Cyprus). Ze is betrokken geweest bij verschillende nationale en door de EU gefinancierde projecten (bijv. MAKERSPACE, GINOBOT, Bridges, LfE). Haar onderzoeksinteresses richten zich op STEM-onderwijs, makeronderwijs en educatieve robotica voor het bevorderen van de digitale competenties en geletterdheid van leerlingen en leraren. Ze is vooral ge\u00efnteresseerd in het ontwerpen, implementeren en beoordelen van op Makerspace gebaseerde leeromgevingen, evenals in de professionele ontwikkeling van leraren voor het ontwerpen en implementeren van STEM-lessen door middel van innovatieve benaderingen zoals onderzoekend leren, het engineeringontwerpproces en projectmatig leren.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;1931&#8243;
